VALUES OF AGAPE

Although agape is not always that common, when we do hear about it or experience it, it’s always inspiring and encouraging. Suprisingly it’s not that difficult… so we are here to invite you to be a part of the agape revolution.

A good place to start is simply by doing something nice for someone and expecting nothing in return. Maybe it will be a random act of kindness, or maybe it will involve someone you know really well. Whatever shape it takes, let agape become a part of your world and you will find that a giving unconditional kind of love is far more satisfying than spending all of your energy trying to find it from others.

So feel free to take the agape card and pass it on to someone else. All we ask is that you embrace the values of agape listed below:

You need to actually do something for someone along with the giving of the card. So you can’t just go giving people the agape card without any action that goes along with it – that’s cheating!

We suggest you start with something achievable. You don’t have to save up for 10 years til you can buy someone a car. Just try paying for someone’s meal, or their groceries… or maybe help someone in the neighbourhood move house. It doesn’t have to be out of this world – you just can’t look for anything in return.

The agape action needs to be completely unconditional and must be something you do for someone when they don’t expect it.

Let the action and the card speak for itself – there is no need to include your personal details with it
